The share of bus arrivals at one stop that were on time, for each hour of the day, on weekdays and on weekends, under two definitions.

Definición
The share of bus arrivals at one stop that were on time, for each hour of the day, on weekdays and on weekends, under two definitions.
Fórmula
OC Transpo standard: no more than 1 minute early and no more than 5 minutes late. This site’s standard: within 5 minutes early or late. Share = on-time arrivals divided by arrivals in that hour.
Unidades
percent of arrivals, with the count of arrivals
Población
Settled final predictions for bus arrivals at one stop, grouped by the scheduled hour in Ottawa and by weekday or weekend.
Ventana de medición
The 28 most recent completed service days, by calendar date in Ottawa.
Cobertura
Only days the daily rollup computed. Days with partial feed capture and days when the live trip numbers did not match the timetable are left out and listed.
Elegibilidad para publicar
An hour is shown only with at least 10 arrivals. Fewer is shown as not enough data, never as zero. The OC Transpo rule is computed only over arrivals at timepoints: stops the trip’s timetable marks as a timepoint, or every stop of a trip that marks none as not a timepoint. At other stops it is not computed, because their times are the operator’s estimates between timepoints; the page says “OC measures this at timepoints only” instead of a number. At a timepoint the OC figure also needs at least 10 timepoint arrivals in that hour.
Alcance
Each bus stop, 24 hours by the scheduled arrival time in Ottawa. Saturday and Sunday are weekend; statutory holidays count as the weekday they fall on.
Qué puede respaldar este número
Two columns are shown. “Against the times riders see” counts a bus within 5 minutes either way of the posted time, at every stop. The OC Transpo column uses OC Transpo’s own standard, no more than 1 minute early or 5 minutes late, and only at timepoints, where OC Transpo measures it. The two columns can cover different arrivals, so they are not a difference of one rule.

Exclusiones

OC Transpo O-Train lines are left out: the operator publishes no live train positions, so their arrivals repeat the timetable.

Incertidumbre e interpretación

Arrival times are the last prediction made no earlier than 10 minutes before the scheduled time, not a recorded door opening.
