On time at a stop, by hour
- Version
- settled-reliability-patterns-daily-v1
- ID
- stop-reliability:hourly-on-time-share
Definition
- Definition
- The share of bus arrivals at one stop that were on time, for each hour of the day, on weekdays and on weekends, under two definitions.
- Formula
- OC Transpo standard: no more than 1 minute early and no more than 5 minutes late. This site’s standard: within 5 minutes early or late. Share = on-time arrivals divided by arrivals in that hour.
- Units
- percent of arrivals, with the count of arrivals
- Population
- Settled final predictions for bus arrivals at one stop, grouped by the scheduled hour in Ottawa and by weekday or weekend.
- Measurement window
- The 28 most recent completed service days, by calendar date in Ottawa.
- Coverage
- Only days the daily rollup computed. Days with partial feed capture and days when the live trip numbers did not match the timetable are left out and listed.
- Publication eligibility
- An hour is shown only with at least 10 arrivals. Fewer is shown as not enough data, never as zero.
- Scope
- Each bus stop, 24 hours by the scheduled arrival time in Ottawa. Saturday and Sunday are weekend; statutory holidays count as the weekday they fall on.
- What this number can support
- Both definitions are shown side by side. They differ only for buses 1 to 5 minutes early, which OC Transpo counts as not on time.

Exclusions
- OC Transpo O-Train lines are left out: the operator publishes no live train positions, so their arrivals repeat the timetable.
Uncertainty and interpretation
- Arrival times are the last prediction made no earlier than 10 minutes before the scheduled time, not a recorded door opening.
