Prediction-to-timetable match coverage

Version
realtime-prediction-timetable-match-v1
ID
network-quality:prediction-timetable-match-coverage

Definition

Definition
The share of published realtime prediction points that can be joined to an official scheduled trip and stop time.
Formula
100 × matched prediction points ÷ all prediction points. The current value uses the trailing 30 minutes; the historical quality window aggregates completed service days.
Units
percent of realtime prediction points
Scope
The connected OC Transpo and STO realtime prediction observations and the matching currently imported static GTFS timetable.

Sources and identifiers

Exclusions

  • This is an evidence-pipeline quality measure, not a punctuality, cancellation, or operated-service score.
  • A prediction that cannot be joined is not treated as proof that the associated trip or stop service did not operate.

Uncertainty and interpretation

  • Static and realtime identifiers can diverge during schedule transitions, partial feed failures, or operator changes; those gaps reduce coverage without describing rider outcomes.
