What should change

Worked out from this month’s arrivals, ranked by how much service each problem affects. Each line says what is wrong, when, and who can fix it.

The diagnosis for this month has not been published yet. It is produced once, when the month closes, because it re-reads every arrival in the month.

Not covered here

  • Whether scheduled trips actually ran. Measured over a rolling recent window that cannot be reconstructed for a closed month.
  • Whether frequent routes arrive evenly or in groups. Measured the same way, over the same rolling window.

The month before

September 2026: 77.1% on time

September 2026 is not complete, so it is shown rather than compared. A difference against a partial month would measure the missing days.

Furthest from the timetable in October 2026

The routes with the lowest share of on-time arrivals. A low figure does not say whose fault it is: a route can be late because its timetable is wrong, because the service is failing, or because of the traffic it runs in. Each route page separates those.

Why there are no trains in this report

Everything on this page is about buses. The O-Train is not counted anywhere in it.

That is not a choice we made. To measure a trip we have to know when the vehicle actually turned up, and OC Transpo publishes that live information for its buses but not for its trains. The train timetable is public. Where the trains actually are is not.

So we can tell you how late a bus was, and we can tell you nothing at all about a train. If OC Transpo published the same live information for the O-Train that it already publishes for buses, every figure on this page would cover the trains too.
