October 26 2026 -
Nightly, between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am, from Wednesday, October 28 until Friday, November 6, Chaudière Crossing will be closed between Chaudière Private and Vimy Place. The closure is required to facilitate the reconstruction work on the Chaudière Crossing southern structures.
As a result, route 8 will detour in both directions via Portage Bridge (between rue Laurier in Gatineau and Wellington Street).
This detour will replace the routing of 8 Gatineau and 8 Dow's Lake for the Terrasses de la Chaudière - Building Envelop Replacement detour (between 8 pm and 5 am)

8 Dow's Lake / Lac Dow: From Alexandre-Tache, cross over Eddy, continue Laurier, right Portage Bridge, right Wellington, cross over Booth, continue Kichi Zibi Mikan to right Vimy Place, follow around to right Booth to regular routing.
