Detour: Route 8 nightly during Chaudière Crossing closure: October 26 2026 - Nightly, between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am, from Wednesday, October 28 until Friday, November 6, Chaudière Crossing will be closed between Chaudière Private and Vimy Place. The closure is required to facilitate the reconstruction work on the Chaudière Crossing southern structures. As a result, route 8 will detour in both directions via Portage Bridge (between rue Laurier in Gatineau and Wellington Street). This detour will replace the routing of 8 Gatineau and 8 Dow's Lake for the Terrasses de la Chaudière - Building Envelop Replacement detour (between 8 pm and 5 am) Please allow extra time for your travels.
