Would you count on route 4?

No sign-in needed. A vote from a device that is not signed in counts a little less than one from an account, and a person who rates many routes counts a little less on each, so no one voice outweighs the rest.

How route 4 is doing

A plain-language summary of the strongest evidence we have. We say when the data cannot answer a question.

Bottom line

Public data cannot grade this train line live. Check official alerts and dated observations below.

Available evidence: the official timetable, official service alerts, train research, and dated rider observations. None is presented as a live train position.

Schedule change check

Published schedule: before and after

This compares the current retained official schedule with the prior retained version. Schedule changes are facts about what was planned; they do not prove that a trip ran.

Current published schedule began September 18, 2026

Selected service day from each published schedule

We check the first Monday after the new schedule began and the Monday one week earlier. Every figure comes from the retained official GTFS versions named below.

At least one selected date uses added or removed calendar-date service. Treat this as holiday or special-service context, not ordinary weekday growth.

Did service improve after the change?

We will compare settled arrivals for the 14 days before and after the change. We publish the comparison only after both sides have at least 7 service days and 200 arrivals.

The public feed has no live O-Train positions or predictions. The schedule comparison is visible, but a train reliability before-and-after score cannot be produced from missing realtime rail data.

Checksums let anyone verify which retained timetable produced the counts. A changed count does not identify a cause, cancellation, operator decision, or passenger impact.

How this train line is judged

No live grade is published. Official alerts, the timetable, research, and dated observations stay separate and auditable until OC Transpo publishes dependable realtime rail data.

What this data cannot prove

The public feed does not provide live train positions, arrival predictions, dependable passenger counts, or proof that a scheduled train ran. A timetable entry is not a live observation.

See the definitions, thresholds and evidence order
  1. Official current alerts: the strongest public evidence of a disruption or outage.
  2. Official timetable: what was planned, never shown as a live train position.
  3. Moderated dated observations: evidence about a specific time and place, not a complete train count.
  4. Research and historical records: context to investigate patterns, not proof of today’s operation.

What we know about train service here

Open the train observation report

Trains are not in the public data feed

OC Transpo publishes live positions for its buses, and this site measures them: millions of bus arrivals every month, which is where every bus figure on this site comes from. The same public feed carries no train positions, so this site has never recorded a single train arrival. Nothing here can tell you where a train is, or whether Lines 1, 2 and 4 run on time.

This is a gap in what is published, not a gap in the trains. If train positions were published the way bus positions already are, riders would get the same record for rail that they have for every bus route on this site.

Recent shared train observations

These are rider sightings approved by a moderator. They show a reported time and place. They are not official train positions, a complete train count, or proof of a cause.

No approved rider observation matches this place or line in the last 31 days. That does not mean no train ran or no problem occurred.

Data behind this result

This route has more than one official schedule record. We keep each record separate so the totals stay checkable and we do not invent a combined worst-case result.

Open any result below to see the hours, denominators, observed days, and position coverage behind it.

No reliability cohort can be safely matched to this public route. No representative schedule record is substituted.

What is being shown

The current public route group, its published schedule variants and stop patterns, current operations, and matching observed reliability where available.

How it was produced

1 current GTFS route record variants are grouped by operator and public route number. Stop patterns remain tied to their published variant; aggregated reliability records are not merged into an invented percentile.

Limits to keep in mind

  • Schedule variants can apply on different dates. A grouped route is not a claim that every pattern operates today.
  • Accessibility fields report only what the operator publishes; an unknown value is not confirmation of access.
